Twins wedding Shop is a family run cake decorating business in Romford, Essex. After attending cake decorating evening classes, twins Jean & Joan decided to broaden their catering horizons into the world of Wedding cakes.

First established in 1986, in a small shop down Albert Road, Twins wedding Shop soon became a roaring success. Jean and Joan’s cakes were highly sought after and their membership in the British Sugarcraft Guild was invaluable to the Romford branch and nationwide. Twins gradually expanded from a kitchen into a kitchen and shop combined. Cake makers swarmed to Albert Road to purchase the latest cake decorating supplies. The need for bigger premises soon became apparent. Consequently, in 1990, Twins moved to 67-69 Victoria Road over two houses.

For the past 15 years, Twins has operated from Victoria Road & we continue to serve both our regulars & new customers. The kitchen runs with our two cake decorators producing edible masterpieces weekly tailored to customers’ wishes. The shop has developed to meet the needs of our customers: from cake decorators running their own businesses from home to those making their very first cake and everyone in between!

ABOUT

2015 has seen changes IN & OUTSIDE Twins. The driveway has been revamped with new signs & a canopy. The car park was re-graveled & the front is due to be painted in the coming months. Inside, the downstairs is gradually being painted and transformed. The work will, however, take some time, as we are keen to keep the shop open throughout.

Our team at Twins consists of two professional cake decorators in the kitchen, seven knowledgeable sales assistants on the shop floor, two Saturday girls and an award-winning teacher. Not forgetting our resident saint, Shelley, who keeps our shop spotless throughout the week.

Thanks to our industrious team and our extensive customer base, we are proud to be the longest-running and leading cake decorating shop in Essex.
